Eastbourne Waterfront Cottage Sells

Auctioneer Wayne Suttons gavel went down after very active bidding on one of the quaintest cottages you will find in Wellington at 761 Marine Drive, Eastbourne. Featuring a bedsit style one bedroom layout, the cottage was board and batten clad and has a local history of being the original "shell" cottage being built around 1910. Outstanding views are enjoyed out over the Wellington harbour and marketing consultant Tamsin Mason says "it was a delight to take the property to the market and was ideally suited as a weekend retreat, bachelor or bachelorettes pad." The buyers agreed with her and a sale price of $380,000 was achieved, R.V $480,000 and a freehold section of 625m2.
