Susanne Cottle of the Harcourts Rural Team took a 128 hectare (316acre) farm at Ohau just south of Levin to Auction. Following competitive bidding which started at 1.8 million the property reached $2,620,000 before Auctioneer, Stuart Pescini brought the hammer down.
"Land holdings of this size and quality are rarely offered in the Horowhenua" says Sue Cottle. Strong interest saw the property sell over the R.V of $2,150,000 which reflects the importance of such land in the Horowhenua.
